Which is better for what and why? My Crate Engine has a Tall Water Pump and I have a 4 row radiator I'm putting in the stock location. Looking at different pulley set-ups/combos at Summit. Want to add Vintage Air down the road, just an alt to start with.

If you have the extra 1" stay with the long water pump, almost all aftermarket ac kits are set up for long water pump. Plus using a short waterpump puts the alternate over the heads

short wp= all= were  in all tears from 1968/69 down. that was due to the heads =NOT!! being cast & drilled for the mounting positions for accessories! in 68 came the  mounts =long wp  & accessories on all chev engines V-8's!Mounts  are still  available for the short wp's  from many  places-summit jegs & others too! -- alternators can (SW=P's) be mounted below engines, all a/c parts also- ps pumps & such too- i have & use short pumps.Due to im still using the fulie heads - readily avail. around here! And i do like the cleaner look  for the top of engine too! Pop the doggie box &   get that =WOW!! Factor!  affraid cheers

many have forgotten  in 1970 up =after all our car mfg's were all made to get power down &  emissions up!! Highet compression ratios  were a thing of the past too!!  Took many, many years  for things to develope to what we have again today in terms of Horsepower from the car mfg's.!! Finally - some performance !! Not just loud sounds(radios & tunes!!) coming from cars any longer!! cheers

The difference between the two is only an inch? I'll stick with the tall one and see where it gets me.

    Thanks Much
