Oh No Bill don't punch your "55" I was just kidding... .. The 1962 Chevy Bel- Air Bubble top in my opinion is the nicest body style Chevy ever came out with (Besides our vans) I had to sell mine 62 "Post Car" so I could buy my Early Van it was Ermine White with Aqua interior with a Built 327 engine it was a Texas Rust Free car with 89,000 original miles... ..But I do have a Red or White 62 "Bubble Top" on my Wish list some day. ....

Hey Bill,,,,,,,Dan Woods and Cut, Chop Rebuild will be filming up in LA on Labor Day,,,,,,but tell me,,,,have you ever been cut, chopped or rebuilt on TV,,,,,,there sure are a lot of shows with EXTREMELY DEMANDING time limit deadlines that by some miracle, they always meet,,,,,but whats your take on all these rebuild shows,,,,,,,are they quality work or just for show and won't last a week on the road?

Re: Solo Speed Shop Bills 66
Well funny you asked! I'm driving down the street by my house & a guys blasts past me in a 66 Dodge Shorty! Fast & loud & Bitchin All Black! I can't even catch him in my duramax! Next signal I get him yell to him follow me & i'll give you some solo stickers hey says sure!
Well a show can't remember name Chip Foose does & they redid Van done the best you could do & top notch! The only far fetched Tv stuff is it took only a week & a half but guy said it did take a little longer than that! Very nice van & job! It airs I think Dec! I have pics of Van Somewhere! Bill

solospeedshop wrote:Nope new one in & if good enough in 66 for Chevrolet its good for this ride! I have a E brake & I'm old & will be going slow!
My 32 Hotrod is a CQQL Ride! A old lady asked me what's it like to drive! I told her It's super fast & when you hit a bump it jumps 2 lanes right or left you never know & the brakes will not stop it! She looks at me & says why on earth would you drive it then! I told her because its a real Hotrod!! She walked away shaking her head! SOLO
I can't agree with you on that single line master cylinder Buddy,,,,,surely the master cylinder is new to you but it could of been sitting on the shelf for 20 years,,,,,and 1 leak anywhere, you are done for,,,,,,,,,no one survives a front end collision in our vans,,,,,,and it really easy to put a 1967-70 dual line master cylinder on our vans,,,,,just modify the rear end of the bracket and it bolts right in,,,,,,you do have to run the rear brake line into one port of the master cylinder and run the front line into the other,,,,,we normally do it when we replace the old brake lines and hoses,,,,we use the Napa wire wound lines which does not require a tubing bender, or cutting or flaring the lines....

Re: Solo Speed Shop Bills 66
I just saw this van in Sarasota today. Did Bill sell it or is he here on vacation? I recognized it as soon as I saw it and it looks even better in person. The shine on those Ansen Sprints is unbelievable!

Well, it's cool to have another early around. I'm sure I'll run into him at some point. How did you get those wheels polished out that nice? I assuming they're the same ones that were on it when you bought it?

Re: Solo Speed Shop Bills 66
I had to bring this thread back up. I went to the guys house that bought Bill's van to show him mine. He wasn't home but the van was and I have to say, it's going to sh*t. Does anyone know how much Bill sold it to him for? I might have to rescue it.
