Decided not to use the VW mirrors. Got busy and made a couple of they swan neck style instead. Bought a couple of mirrors that fit my 65 Chev P/U, they mount the same as the van. Drilled out the weld that held the neck to the base twisted them where I thought they would work the best, welded them back together on the back side. Bent them just a bit and I have a pair of home made swan necks. Got sure if I can see anything with the little round mirrors. Stole those from my sons Baja bug for testing purposes.
