Thanx Don, I think you can go in to the ford dealer and buy one for an old mustang, has anyone had luck at the Chevy dealer for one of these for our vans?

Re: Gas Filler Neck Grommet
There should be a grommet between the tank filler assembly and the sheet metal where it's screwed in three times. I had mine out, more or less, intact to cut a new one then forgot to replace anyway. I could send you a faxed outline of the old grommet if you wish. Might be better to e-mail me at: ChevyVanMan1@gmail.com as I don't check this site as often as I should. I would think any plastic (like oil bottle plastic) would work just fine. Would avoid the original paper one as it will bring rust if it hasn't already. Please advise, thanks, Mark
