Well,, its me again trying not to waste money on something that doesn't fit or work. I have found a 200 out of a 66 mustang on eBay and the posting said it runs fine. I have a 62 E van and was wondering if this engine will fit and if there is anything I should before I commit to buying it. I dont know what bolt pattern my bell housing is. But I do remember reading a post on here that the 200 from the early mustangs have both bellhouse bolt patterns. Any help??

Re: 200 from a 66 mustang
If it was in a 66 Mustang it will fit your van. There was a time when Mustang 6's were everywhere as restorers were converting 6 cyl cars to V-8 cars. Nowadays they just restore 6 cyl cars. Hope your deal works out.

It should have the dual pattern, but the '70 has a much better head. Almost any 200 up until 1980 should have the dual pattern and work with your tranny afaik.
