I have a 62 E van and have to remove the power plant for repairs and was thinking of swapping it with a 200 ci from a later year. Will it bolt right up to the motor mounts and my manual transmission??? Anybody know where I could find a 7 bearing main 200??

Re: engine swap
A 200 will bolt right in. I have three but 200's but they all need rebuilding. You can find good 200's in 70's Fairmonts and Zephers. Be sure and don't buy a 250 as they look very similar but it won't bolt in. Easy way to tell is a 200 has three water pump bolts and 250's have four.

Re: engine swap
7 freeze plugs on the right side of the block means 7 main bearings. 3 freeze plugs is for early 1960s 200 with only 4 bearings.

Re: engine swap
All are seven main blocks. I have a 66 dual bolt pattern block and a 65 small bolt pattern block. The third is a 78 Fairmount block but I'm going to hang on to it for now. I may sell it latter. PM me if your are interested in any.
