origanal tire specs

Looking to mount some original spec tires for our 68 a100, 15' rims, what was the specs or where can I find this info., also looking for a set of matching small hub caps ...Thanks, Mike.

I don't remember off-hand what the original sizes were but they used pretty skinny tires back then.

I had a 69 A-108 that had stock tires/wheels on it. I ran a P205/70R15 and it was pretty much was similar to what was used back then.

here ya go... depending on your gvw: 4600# gets 7.75X15 4 ply on 15X5 wheels, 5200# gets 8.15-15 8 ply on 15X5.5 wheels. This is out of dodge truck brochure that I got from auto lit off ebay. Try kcwheelandcovers on ebay for some stock "dog dishes"

Those were kinda narrow,by todays standards.I'm sure they were bias-ply also.Coker Tire in Chattanooga carries a whole line of old issue tires and white walls for the antiquers.
I just wanna ride around with the Maytag repairan uniform on. Haaaa! Better not,might get hauled off in white coat with strings on the sleeves for sure.

a's also came with 13" rims according to one early sales brochure. never saw one with them though.

Thank goodness someone had the sense to put 14's and 15's on those little pizza cutters and our gears??? Can you say 45mph tops.. and NO ground clearance either.
