Hey, I didn't see your sidekick in any of those photos!

That knot of wire was the raw materials for the look we made. Find the one that has the matching plug to the one in the doghouse. It is ready to go. All the terminals are crimped and soldered, got the right terminals for the alternator, idiot lights, etc. I think we even labeled some of them. And the lengths should be good, too long, if anything.

,,,my sidekick has a job, and a ranch to run,,,,,,,,,,,,I just go down into the garage whenever I feel like doing something,,,,,and its HOT out here,,,,,,,,

Her pets are more important than that van,,,,,,

Looks like it's a good idea to keep her pets happy.

Love that Chevy orange on the engine. Better than the light blue it had (even though that is correct for a 65 Chevy).

Suzy came over to put her engine in,,,,,,,I screwed the 2 bolts into the motor mounts for her,,,,,,

then we went and got the flywheel turned and a new 3rd gen alternator for the van,,,,,

Great Progress, won't be long now!!!

and today is a Jacke day,,,,,,,cutting the floor and core support for that crossmember to fit,,,,,,and making the crossmember  fit,,,,,cleaning up the edges of the doghouse,,,,,bringing those parts home where I can make that radiator, which is a weird size, fit that doghouse,,,,

and today is a Suzy day,,,,,,,,flywheel, clutch and transmission,,,,,

put one of these pick up truck door stops on the front door,,,,,dont like it,,,too short,,,,door like opens opens only 1/2 way,,,,,,,put the bar from the old one in and door opens,,,,,all the way,,,,,these doors open over 3 feet,,,,,,surely will hit whatever is parked next to it,,,,,

got the saddles moved in the doghouse and crossmember  to fit the radiator on the JackeVan today,,,,,

cruised San Diego yesterday,,,,,went and seen my buddy Harry,,,,,,,talked to TravelCruiser Scotty,,,,,,

went over to Jackes and installed the radiator crossmember and doghouse today,,,,installed my lawnmower gas tank and she started it up and moved it to find all the lost tools, parts and bolts lost in the gravel,,,,,brought her tank home with me,,,,,

Yep, Don got that all done today! Afterwards, it was kinda interesting watching me back up using three pedals with no seat! Very simple levitation.
I cannot wait to get the gas tank sender unit and the correct turn signal switch.
But now.... to get the correct hoses going tomorrow and see how the new radiator works.
