Re: January Blues
I think they call that a "Paradise Tax"... Beautiful in the summer but "not so much" in the winter!

Re: January Blues
" /> Well a little more shoveling and a few good pulls with my willys and its finaly free.Winter is not generaly an expletive in wisconsin but this one was cold and lots of snow.I enjoy ice fishing in the winter but this year we have close to 3 foot of snow on the lakes without the drifts.I havent goten stuck yet but get tired of shoveling tring to find ice.My 55 willys is my winter beast.Starts at -35 when nothing else will.Idont have a modern vehicle,i prefer the vintage tin.Imay break down ocasionly but useualy dont get stranded. I didnt pay alot for my stuff but there drivers not trailer queens. When i picked up my van a couple years ago i joined vv in hope of finding help, and posibly parts. On dial up i couldnt post pics so ive pretty much a lurker here. Now ive got dsl and photo bucket and im chompin at the bit to get back to work on my van.My pockets are shallow but my ambition runs deep.here is a pic of the rest of the herd.No fords or dodges here, all chevies.Next to the willys is my 51 short box stepside i bought when i was 15.My 65 g and and the motorhome is a 1966 i bought off e-bay for 400.

Re: January Blues
Spring is really early here, today has been sunny and temp is now 54F. No snow anymore at all. If the weather continues like this I need to start to look at how my lawnmower is doing after winter. Winter this year was exceptionally mild.

This AM heavy rain-frezzing rain then wet snow , now blowing snow from ever way??? Weather said 5- 10 in of snow with blowing & drifting??? was out at 7 AM getting snow off tent(looked like it was going to cave in on 65.( Not after I just painted it) Was 50 here yesterday.

Re: January Blues
Nearing the end of march and not much different than january.Waiting on a throttle cable from summit and then get to lay in the ice/snow to install it.Better than a puddle of melted ice/snow i geuss.
