Well just goty back from the road trip to TN is get the latest addition to "projects to do". It's a 68' a108 sportsman with a 318 auto. The back is completely empty, and here is the missing item list:
headlight rings, air cleaner, 5-letter dodge on the front, both bumpers, front bumper brkts, door panels, r/s sportsman badge, spare tire, dash cluster, belly pan, pop-up latches, battery,

    Broken stuff:
seats, long tie rod bar is a "frown", r/s door dodge badge, window latch, 70% of the wheel studs on both sides, 1 window screen and zipper on the pop-up, 3 rivets at the corner to hold canvas to fiberglass roof, 1 u-joint strap bolt broken off in yoke,

The good news is 3 very small rust spots, floor is solid, and only has 1 small pin hole in the roof sheet metal (found during the rain today)

And guess what kind of paint scheme it has since it came from TN????? Ahhh come on you can guess.... YESSSS your right a faded camo brown and green applied with a BRUSH!!!

o.k. I can here you laughing.... I had to preview this prior to posting pics tomorrow.... to dark by the time I got here, and it was "dark" when I loaded it last night.
I'll tell you what I paid tomorrow when I put the pics on and you can tell me if I got "took" lol!

ok.... Froze my rear end for these, not getting unloaded until after lunch, man its cold today.

Hey look!!! NO SPOTS on the seats, inside joke some of you will understand, for others read in the parts for sale under "smoothed tailgate"

Pop top ay? Could be a Family Wagon from TRAVCO or perhaps a Campwagon from Travel Equipment, etc.

I think it is a TRAVCO since it is fiberglass, but it doesn't have the cool badge of the back door that says family wagon. Almost got enough light to take some pics and post them. Plus I still have to get it off the trailer and it's 20 degrees with a pretty good wind chill and of course I have to move some other stuff to get it where it needs to go.

500$ and all the glass and vitals are there, its a good deal. kinda lucky the inside is gutted saves a trip to the dump, 40 year old chip board is ugly when it gets damp and warped. good foundation good luck glad to see another dodge saved.

[b][i]From what I see it looks very very solid. A little sanding will releve you of the butt ugly paint job. Pop outs, 318 motor sound like a keeper to me

Okay you guys are starting to make me feel better about changing my mind about using the old girl for parts.... It was a no pic, sight unseen deal that I was getting for all the V8 stuff and spare brake parts for my pickup since I broke the adapter plate for my /6 engine, but Thanks to you guys I have 2 sources for that part now ("torqueflitepatty", and brian) problem being shipping that heavy mother. So I guess the pickup gets to sit until "carlise" and maybe I can get brian to bring it with him. Looks like its get the van ready for milford.

Time to pick your brains again..... Who knows what kind of hold downs are "supposed" to be on my Travco fiberglass roof to keep it from "popping" up going down the street. Already had that happen in the first 5 miles on the way back from TN and had to strap it over the top and down the sides to get home, but the strap kinda matches the "hillbilly" paint scheme, if I'm going to keep it that way I've got to get some camo straps to match.

itruns... I'm with you... have to put a call into my brother and get some pointers on where to start with it and what to use since he is a "body" man by trade. Probably get him to paint it and help a little, but not for the whole thing. He's trying to get the wiring figured out in his fiat, I keep telling him to find an Italian and it might work.

67A...Nice looking van you got for $500.From the pics you posted, seems like the lower body is in great shape(rockers,ect.).Down here,humidity/ground moisture can ruin a vehicle if it sits a while. We don't quite have the salt worries like ya'll do up there. It's just rust of a different breed is all.
Just wondering...what part of MY Redneck/hillbilly state did you find your van?Hope you really don't think everyone down here is like that..." paint scheme it has since it came from TN" I've discovered 'Redneck' does'nt have borders.
Thanks for the pics, keep posting your progress!

OK.... MOE..... Hey we used to have ted nugget up here with all kinds of camo and I looked at more shades of camo than you can imagine with 20 years in the army, some even applied with a brush (like this one) She was not far inside of TN so might have been painted in KY Smile Exit 112 I think, place called maynardsville, not sure how much time it actually spent there as the man said it came out of AZ which after crawling around under it a little yesterday is probably true because the bottom side in 98% rust free and the parking brake cables move and levers aren't siezed. Starting on the freeze plugs in a little bit, might have to wait for the "kid" to get home from school. not sure how much I can do with this thumb in a brace and scheduled for surgery on sunday to reattach the tendon. I'll take some pics and let you guys know how it turns out.
