    A110 - Identity Solved Empty A110 - Identity Solved

Post by Guest Sat Jul 06, 2013 11:25 am

I have a Lazy Daze camper mounted on a 1968 Dodge pickup. We always thought it was an A100; Its NOT. The VIN plate says A110.

When we tried to get new front brake drums, they could not cross reference the proper size. Here's why: Dodge made a heavy duty version of the compact truck series, both 90"-wb and 108"-wb.

This heavy duty version is mentioned in the 1968 sales brochure for the 90"-wb body as: "5,200 GVW package". By reading through all the footnotes and fine print, I found what the package included. The link below charts the differences:

For VVs with what identifies as A120, you may find the same HD upgrades take the standard 4000 lb version A108 up to a HD 5400 lb version A120.

RodStRace: Thanks for you encouragement to get this figured out.

Since I'm in Tampa Bay, FL and the A110 is in Pueblo, CO with my son the mechanic, I can't answer immediately. I'll ask him to look when he has the shop open on Monday.

Do you recall its contents - did the data on it duplicate the one in the door frame by the drivers left butt? Was it on a Dodge or a Fargo?

Approximately what size does my son look for? Was it atop the dash or on the end where a closed door covered it?

The government LOVES to add extra tags. Military, forestry/fire service, even old mail trucks got 'em.
Clarendon, glad you got it figured out and shared it.
