Re: Update on a 69 A100
^^^ AHAHAHHHHAAAAA!!! I know the feeling! I had a load of scrap engine blocks in my previous A100 and needed to punch it to get out of an idiots way. Bad idea. Spent the next few minutes dragging engine blocks out of the street! I get you bro.
That power is worth it though!

Re: Update on a 69 A100
Just looked at your pictures in the gallery that looks sweet! Big block makes me think and think got to have. That should make the shorty haul. Did you narrow the diff or just make new wheel tubs do not want my tires out of the wheel wells

Re: Update on a 69 A100
the results are in... 12.84 at 104mph. when I got the tires to hook up and not spin the guy at the line told me there was a crack of daylight under the front tires. and bob I made new wheel tubs but did not narrow the rear end yet. I widened the wheel tubs for a future tubing.

Re: Update on a 69 A100
Back to the track this past Friday. Some rejecting the carb and new Mickey Thompson et drags a steady 12.7 at 105MPH. Im waiting for new gears and a spool to come in so I can come out of the hole a little harder (wheelie hopefully) and be twisting 6000RPM by the end of the track. Some minor tuning needs to be done im thinking I can crack off a 12.5 by the end of this year. I don't believe she'll do much more than that. It is still driven almost every day even with the big block. About 5 MPG. It would be better if I could keep my foot out of it.

Re: Update on a 69 A100
if you look close there is day light under that left front tire.
This year I went with a electronic msd ignition. with the rear end i put a spool and 4.10 gears. come out of the hole very hard. still runs 12.7 at 104mph. i think that is as fast as an a will go however i am 1.7 60 foot and 8.0 at 85 mph at the 1/8 mile. she flys for being an a100. my goal for the year is to get both front wheels up an easy foot, so back to the drawing board and playing with suspension now.

Re: Update on a 69 A100
cal tracks, and 70/30 Lakewood front shocks will help. 12.7 is respectable for driving something as aerodynamic as, and the size of, a baby barn .....
