leaf spring bushings Empty SHACKLE/BUSHING KIT

Post by Guest Tue Jan 20, 2009 2:34 pm

TRY ROCK AUTO.COM ITS FULL OF HARD TO FIND PARTS. YOU LOOK UP YOUR VEHICLE APPLICATION AND IT GIVES YOU AVAILABLE PART NUMBERS THAT YOU CAN ORDER THROUGH THEM OR SEE IF YOUR LOCAL PARTS HOUSE CAN ORDER THEM. I GOT A SHACKLE KIT FROM THEM, IT IS A SPICER KIT#576-1013. IT COMES WITH FOUR BUSHINGS AND THE SHACKLE. CHECK OUT THE PICS. -GABE-

They have them in catologs from both www.Macsautoparts.com and dennis-carpenter.com if you go on these web sites they should have pics of them. I have also got parts from nation parts depot at their local store, but you can order thru them on line even though they dont sell econoline speciific parts I have found that some older tuck parts fit. They may also have a store buy you to take in for comparison.

ECONORAT- LOOK UP 1966 ECONO WITH 2.8/170 ENGINE. IT SHOWS AN ACDELCO KIT #45G13013 NOW. I BELIEVE THE BUSHINGS AND SHACKLES ARE THE SAME FOR ALL BUT THE SPRING RATES WERE DIFFERENT. -GABE-

YEAH, THEY WENT UP. I FOUND MY RECIEPT FROM FEB.08 AND I ONLY PAID 52.99 FOR THE SPICER KIT. I WOULD TRY TO SEE IF ONE OF YOUR LOCAL PARTS HOUSES CAN FIND THESE NUMBERS AND MAYBE GET A BETTER PRICE. IT'S WORTH A TRY. -GABE-

OH, BY THE WAY. YOU SHOULD GO THROUGH ALL OF THE CATEGORIES @ ROCKAUTO FOR YOUR APPLICATION AND PRINT OUT EVERY PAGE OF PARTS. THATS WHAT I DID. I HAVE A HUGE FOLDER OF PART #S FOR MINE JUST FOR FUTURE REFERENCE WHEN THEY DECIDE TO DELETE MORE #S FROM THE LISTS. -GABE-

I would go with Sean O Dell. I got a bunch of bushings from his partner, Eugene Phillips before he passed away. They are very nice quality. I still have a box full stashed away somewhere in my garage.

McVeigh's has the bushings, but not sure about the shackles. I got my shackles and bushings in a kit from RockAuto... cheaper than anywhere else. Mac's, Spicer, etc no longer carry the shackles. NAPA has them, but for a LOT more than RockAuto. Same kit!
