I'm new to all this, but I recently bought a 65 econoline van. The question I have is, there are 4 holes in the front I know 2 are for headlights what are the other 2 for? I bought the van with these missing. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it.

That's how you get fresh air. You should have a door under the glove box, and one in behind the steering column .

Sometimes there may be only one vent on one side and a blank out plate on the other side. Or you can have two vents, it depends on how it was ordered, but you can easily add another vent by just removing the blank out plate as the holes for attaching the vent assembly are in the same location as the as the blank out plate. These are pretty simple machines and easy to repair.

Until I could fabricate a blank out plate that was missing I had to use a piece of aluminum flashing as it was cold outside when I got mine on the road. Ask around on the forum and you may have some guys that will sell you a plate or a vent assembly.

For 1965-1967, the extra hole on the passenger side is for letting air into the heater. On the driver's side, there should be a metal box with a door in it that will give you a blast of fresh air on your knees.
