Rebuilding inner rockers Empty Rebuilding inner rockers

Does anyone have any photos of the right side inner rocker at the rear by the rear wheel? I don't know if it will tell me anything, but I'm trying to rebuild the door frame (side doors) on my '65 and it's pretty much shot. There was not enough of either the pillar/brace or rocker below the floor for me to even start patterning, so I'm working blind here.

Here's what I have (after I cut out the floor)

And after rebuilding parts of the floor and outer rocker. You can see the lip/seam where the fender and rocker meet. The fender is a little twisted at the end.

I think the pillar needs to extend all the way down like the other side, but it seems like it would straddle the fender/rocker seam, which doesn't seem right and wouldn't match the other side (although I know these vans are not symmetrical)

Here's what that other side looked like before/after I rebuilt the braces, before I welded in the inner rocker.

Thanks, and thanks! This is my first attempt at this kind of repair. I'm going to do a full rebuild post once I'm closer to done. You're only seeing the tip of the iceberg in these photos.

I have a complete rear corner section that includes a foot of the rear roll pan forward including rear corner, wheel well panel, and upper window panel, forward past the side door opening. It includes inboard to the frame rail including the frame rail so in other words it has everything you need to fix yours. I could haul it to you on my way to the Nats in Wisconsin in July.

Thanks, Tim, but I'm hoping to have this back on the road by June. Smile Besides, other than that pillar, the rest of that side is in good shape. Oddly, so was the other side other than the braces and inner rocker panel, and a portion of the corner by the roll pan. I was completely missing the roll pan, but one is on the way from Dennis.

HOWEVER, if your section includes the barn door rear pillar, I'd LOVE to see a picture of it. Smile

Yes it includes the rear and side door pillars in perfect shape. I looked tonight and I cut the section about 2 inches inboard of the wheel well so the whole well is included also.

Could you post a pic? It might help me in reconstructing mine.

i dont have a pic for you because i cut all that stuff out awhile ago but i can tell you FOR SURE that those verticle pillars are not matching per side. not symetrical.
