So I took my cracked manifold down to Bishop Engines today and was told they didn't carry that one. That the one I have was used on Farm Equipment. Apparently they were used on 1.5 Ton and higher trucks, like Grain trucks.
They have a different 292 Manifold that was used on a 1977 C10 292 that has a 2.25" Exhaust pipe fitting, but the Exhaust pipe bolts to the middle of the header, where mine connects by the 5th cylinder.
So now I'm on the hunt..
I'm still unsure if I should consider the outside holes on the manifold as hanger holes, and the next set in is what torques to 20, or do I need to torque these as well?
If they are just hangers I might be able to get it repaired at a machine shop, if I need torque it will probably snap.

,,,,,,,seems to me, it would be faster if I just came over there and tightened the manifolds for you....there is no torque for the pegs,,,so make them 20 if you put studs or bolts in there,,,,,you need to use the stock thick composite gasket so that it would absorb any misalignment and also,,,,,you tighten the middle bolts 1st then work your way out to the ends when you put it on,,,,,

Is your broken one the one made by International Harvester for use on their 6 cyls? I've heard about that exhaust and folks using it for better breathing but have never seen one.

Your welcome to visit..
I'll kick a kid out of their room if you want to try the Texas life for a little while. I hoped to be out there to bother you in person by now, but dark days have hit at work. Not much traveling going on right now.
Thanks for the snapshot there, I've been looking for something that specifically showed the last bolts. Sure, it seemed obvious, but I didn't want to take a chance on busting another manifold.
So, I had hoped to pick-up my replacement manifold today, but like I posted before, this one I have is from much bigger trucks, or farm equipment. The exit hole is next to cylinder #5, not centered, like the ones on pickups. Such as what come on a 1977 Chevy C10.
Part #:39267-042
If I can't find a replacement at a reasonable price I am going to get the stock 292 manifold, and have my exhaust pipe adjusted. It's not worth the hassle, and extra money, to keep that extra .25" opening to the pipe. 2.25" is plenty for an inline 250.
I found one listed online at some off name eBay type site, but he didn't have a price listed, and mentioned how rare it is to find. In other words he thinks he's got gold.
Maybe he does, be he isn't getting it from me.

So, the surprise I found when I removed my intake..
Someone that had this intake before me decided to shave off what looks like was an air pocket under the front half of the intake. If you look close some kind of powder, or glue, is blocking little breather holes that feed into where the exhaust and intake manifolds bolt together. I know this means no proper heating, but it's what I've got, and I'm not changing it right now. My plan is to either take it and have those holes plugged at a machine shop, or sandwich a flat piece of metal between the manifolds to keep an exhaust leak from eventually happening.
This whole engine has been a lesson learned about not to buy something someone else has built. Although I haven't found anything that's a major problem, but it's just been one thing after another.

Yeah, I remember the guy telling me that when I bought the engine. But over the last couple of years since I convinced myself that I heard him wrong, and that I just had a plain 292 manifold. Now that you bring it back up, I'm sure you're right, and that this is it.

I didn't actually look at that one, the engine place just told me that had it. Does it have a 2.25" opening for the exhaust pipe?
And how many bolt does it have for connecting the pipe, two or three?
If I give-up on matching what I have / had, and a machine shop tells me it's unrepairable, I will be dropping you a PM.
Thanks

Thanks jrinaman, I appreciate the offer, but I did end-up finding a match to what I broke.
I came across this listing on eBay, and then noticed they were less then an hour from my house.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/261006980449?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649
Yeah, I know I spent to much, but I ran down and picked one up. They also made it a point to tell me they normally charge $50 more for walk-in customers, but since I saw it on eBay they gave me that price.
Here's the new one over the old one.
According to them a company in Mexico is supplying them with new Exhaust Manifolds. I finished putting it in on Sunday, and drove it to work today.
This Manifold from Mexico gives me more room for getting a wrench into those tight spots. I had to grind a wrench down to get the open end around it enough to loosen some of the bolts. The new one gives enough room to get the box-end of a wrench around the bolts.
As far as the bad modification to my Offy Intake, I put a metal plate in that blocks the exhaust from hitting the bottom of the intake, which blocks the exhaust from reaching where those holes were plugged. It doesn't seem to make a difference in the way the intake heats. I'm sure it does, but its driving fine.
Thanks everyone for your opinions, and offers of help. It reminds me of about five years ago on here when everyone was more interested in helping each other get their vans repaired then making a few bucks off each other.
It's restored my faith in vanning.

So I've got this cracked manifold taking up space in my garage,if anyone wants it for the cost of shipping they are welcome to it. I'd rather offer it to anyone that wants to try and fix it instead of pitching it in the recycle bin.
Here's a snap of the 2.5" opening to the pipe..
And here's a snap of the damage..
