not so good ! but what I miss more are my comic books I kept them in good condition, after reading them time and time again, in a box, even at a young age, I was convinced they would be worth something, someday... (little did I know then HOW much )
unfortunately... one day while I was at school, my mom's BF got rid of them along with most of my stuffed animals
I guess it's "spilled milk" now, but some things you never forget...

I remember back in the day the car stereo speakers to have was Tenna Mind Blowers. They each had their own amplifier built into the speaker. I loved my mind blowers & sure wish I still had a set!!!

Re: I remember...........
I remember riding down Rossville Boulevard in Chattanooga, TN. in the back of dad's checvy pickup. With my brother and cousins and we were all munching on vine ripe tomatoes out of my grandfathers garden... I was about seven years old and it's a very vivid memory of my childhood.
I also remember playing within the boundaries of the "Volunteer Army Ammunition Plant" as well. I had no idea that place was as dangerous as it was but it was many thousands of acres of woods as well and kids will be kids.

Re: I remember...........
I remember going to the drive in on Friday nights with my brothers when I was growing up. Three of them had vans & my oldest brother had a 1965 Corvette Sting Ray. He would always let me go with him most of the time unless he was taking his girlfriend. He died in 1979 of a heart attack. I sure miss him. My other three brothers would let me go with them sometimes but when they said no I would hide under their bed & they wouldn't know till it was to late!!! I would wait till they got in and when the went to get pizza & pop corn they got a big surprise when they got back out to their van.

Re: I remember...........
One of the drive in's near me was just built 4 or 5 years ago. It has all new state of the art projectors, screens and fm transmitters for the sound to play through your stereo. It only costs $7 per person for admittance & kids age 3 & under is free. They show 2 new release movies so that is not to bad I guess.

I can remember my dad telling me that as I got older that I would forget about not having responsibility or a care in the world.
Boy 'o' Boy was he right about that.

Re: I remember...........
I remember when I use to use a comb and didn't need a bra ..
I remember not being reachable or not having a Status
I remember not being under constant surveillance
(red light, cell phone cameras)
I remember having 7 TV stations w/no remote and B/W
I remember Variety shows that where funny
I remember bomb drills in school
I remember how cool the Concorde looked the first and every time I saw one flying
I remember playing Kickball or ringolevio in my neighborhood
I remember when we had neighborhoods
This is really depressing...One thing I remember and still enjoy is having a few beers friday after work and Sat. working on our cars, listening to some great music and telling the same old jokes with my same old freinds I have had since I was a kid..
