This is my first post. I am in a tough spot trying to find a exhaust/intake manifold for my 1967 G10 van and I hope someone have give me some advice. I have had two shipped, only to discover they don't match. This is getting expensive and I'm not moving forward. I am considering giving up on the search and installing headers. My knowledge of the exhaust system is weak. Can I even do this?
Also, many years ago, when I first got this van, I vaguely remember my mechanic telling me when he replaced the head, he put on a bigger one. I now assume, because of problems I've had - that he replaced the 230 with a 250. Again, is that possible? One thing that might be helpful: I have to use the 5/8 plugs, NOT 3/4. What might that mean?
