Got a steal today, set of four Eagle alloys 5 spoke 17in rims with Maxxis Radial Ma-v1 275/40R17 98v very close to new tires.
$200!! Was hanging out at the Hot Rod shop that where my Econo Pu is renting space while it is being built. One of his "rich" customers wants new rims and tires and just wanted them off his hands. I had no plans to buy 17's but could not turn them down.
The only problem is they are off a chevy, so I will need adapters.
I would like to see pictures of Econo's with 17's if anyone has them on their truck.
    thx

    Hey Donn,

I got 17's on my Econo. It's a roller, not driving
    yet.

Like Mike said the rears will work but the fronts...(?)

The rears will make it as long as your adapters are
the right thickness. Up front can present some challenges.

I got mine to fit but my front axle is 1-1/2" narrower
than stock due to being lowered. The narrowness helped in
my case. I had to avoid disc brakes/hoses, anti-sway bar,
steering linkage and the inner fender.

Any idea what the offset is?

One thing to do is put them on and see if your tire hits
the steering drag link on the drivers' side.

I just saw that you are running 45 series tires which
will be slightly larger diameter than stock tires (about
1/4 to 1/2" larger.) Much more than that and your tires
    will be rubbing.

Another thing is the width, I've got 275's in the rear, and
205's in the front. The way I got it set up, I don't thing
anything wider than maybe 215 is going to fit up front. I did
a bit of metal surgery to get things the way I wanted it.

    George

Thanks for the replys. Magic bus, I really like the way yours look. They seem like almost the same as my rims.
My plan before these came up was, and still is, is to build it as a gasser.
I am thinking I may sell two of the rims and buy 4inch small rims for the front. I will be lifting the front end.
I think these rims would look good on the back with a brushed aluminum style on front. I am going to take one back to the shop on monday and size it up.
