I have looked at charts of all the axle flange demensions and I did not see any other match. From that I believe the early to be on its own.

sure would have been cool if they used an early
chevy pickup axle, they make 3 inch dropped axles
for the 47/53 pick ups.

Dan, I tried the disc brackets for a 47-59 and they didn't work if that is what you are asking. The g series straigh axle is its own aniamal as far as I can tell Bob

my '67 c40 had a straight axle that looked 'similar' but that was scraped 20 years ago. maybe not evan close but other chevys had straight axles, if that was the question.

Yeah, Dan the brackets will almost work but they would have needed a ton of mods. I finished up my brackets about a month ago(been sitting on my tool box). If I get a chance I will post up a picture. Bob
