I seemed to have broken the thermostat housing today and am in the process of procuring a new one. And as long as im at it, i want to replace the existing non-original cast water neck (before i break that too) with a steel one. Anyone know a specific part number for this? I've been searching online for a while but i only come up with cast, stainless steel ($$), or that info isnt listed. Everything seems to be for v8, but maybe its a generic part, i dont know.
    Thanks

I did a search, this is best I could come close to water neck.
While doin a lil work on the van, replaced thermostat. All of a sudden, spray everywhere! It wasn't actual neck,it was the cast aluminum piece neck bolts to.Long time wear, and I guess erosion has eat it up.
What is this parts name, where can I find one,or is it a 'good luck, pal' item?

For search purposes: water neck, water outlet, thermostat housing
I was a man on a mission. These parts are often mislabeled. The water neck/water outlet is actually piece 'on top of' thermostat, with return to radiator.Thermostat housing(sometimes called 'lower t/h')actually bolts to front of block, that thermo rests in.
After many parts houses searches, couldn't find actual 'housing'.Through several other forums, such as ours, quite a few folks are/were lookin for the same piece. Most replies kept referring back to this company below.Their pricey.
These parts for inline 6's aren't as plentiful as days of old.Just want to throw out info I've found and share for future searches. Also,THANKS ! to Dan & Scott, guys helpin me out in a pinch to get my ride on the road.
