    Wiring Questions Empty Wiring Questions

Post by southern man Wed Aug 17, 2011 6:43 am

I am on the downside of rewiring my '64 Econo with a Ron Francis wiring kit. One of the problems I've encountered involves the stock column wiring.

I've got 7 column wires but I seem to be missing something. There is a red wire I cannot identify and even if it is for one of the rear turn signals I would need another line for the remaining rear turn signal.

I've sent an e-mail to Ron Francis but in the interim I thought I'd ask the great minds here if they can help. (I am not using the horn button on the column.)

I have an Excel sreadsheet with everything laid out but it did not want to format correctly when I pasted it in here. (I tried to "insert table" but that wouldn't work either.) If someone wants to see the spreadsheet please PM me with an e-mail address and I'll send it.
    Thanks!
    Jeff

Jeff - The red wire from the column is for the stop lite switch. That red wire connects to one of the posts on the switch and the other post connects to battery positive +
    Hope this helps.

Many thanks to organ grinder and dirt farmer for your help! Today I finally got everything to work (at least regarding the column)!!! Brake lights, directionals, headlights - it all works.

This is such a great site! Thanks again.
