Went on a bike trip last weekend 300 miles by tallbike, Lansing to Mackinaw City. My 13th year on DALMAC, I usually ride a normal bike on this, but since I was doing the easy route I rode the tallbike. I did see a couple vans, one was in Harrison, the town that had the NATS a few years ago.

Great bike you got there, gets you up there with the vanners, and away from that asphalt heat too..

I like how they have Chevy written on the bottom of the door of the red van, kinda cool..

    It's a 67, not a 65, but still a cool idea.

The gold one looks like it didn't have the Windshield Washer Sprayers..

Just installed new shocks and took a very long weekend run of over 500 miles through Ohio, KY & WV running the hills.

    GREAT TIME!

Got lots of compliments and interest in the old girl everywhere I stopped.

Started working on the engine and add-on wiring. Attempting to minimize any use of the old Van wiring.
That looks good Bill, using some of the bones out of the parts van?

Changed Powerglide filter while replacing the leaking Pan Gasket, and planning my external transmission cooler since the stock transmission lines started spraying because they rubbed a hole in each other. I figure now would be a good time to install the cooler.

Working on a poster sized wire diagram in my spare time.

I love the idea of adding in extra roof braces. They're pretty easy to remove from a donor van, and even easier to weld into yours. Aside from adding strength to the van and roof, you can put them right where you need them for attaching your custom interior!

Looks like I put about 2500 miles on my 67 Chevy 90 "no-door" during September.

Really cruising around a 4 state area.

Not one break down......250 6 banger/power-glide & points. As dependable as you can get. Screw the modern stuff..........I'll stick with the old easy & tried & true.

Big plans over the winter for the old girl.

I'm IN LOVE! & the Spitfire & bike are getting kinda jealous.

YEP.......no posi-traction rear end and no weight back there makes for one slippery ride in the winter. Not to mention no snow tires.

    2-3 hour pass huh???........ lol!
In my neck of the woods ya just drag it home......set it off to the side and have at it.... at your leisure ............then part out & scrap what's left.

And the junkyards around here remove the parts for you.

City people have life rough.............I couldn't handle it............ Razz Razz Razz

But at least you're leaving the mess at the salvage yard I reckon.........
