Re: What are you up to?
I got 90% of the '67 gutted today, found some bondo in the LF corner that they didn't use enough hardener on and it was still soft in spots. Must have been hit in that corner at some point in its liife. But over all not to bad for a michigan truck. To dark for pics tonight, I'll post some tomorrow that shows the progress.

Good to see Polar Bear. How's his Chevy van coming along?
That video of your stump excavation was anticlimatic! You hooked the chain to the van and then.......... WHAT HAPPENED?! Which one won the tug of war?!!

Re: What are you up to?
Had the pleasure of sharing with my son the joys of fiberglass Have a visor for a 1980 ford pickup that I basically cut off the sides that bolt to the pillar and rebuilding them to fit the pillars on the van. such a joyful experience but is looking real good so far. Got one side done and will be doing the other side tomorrow. I'll get some before, during and after pics when I get it done later this week.

Re: What are you up to?
Working on a couple old tractors to take to a show this weekend, last Sat. did a little bike ride with my son, kind of a fathers day tradition, the 24 hour challenge. This was my 18th year in this race, I had a good ride, didn't get any sleep except on my bike. I got in 235 miles and 7.5 on this..
I am humbled by the riders that double my mileage.

Also bit the bullet on new springs and bushings from Digz source up in Grand Rapids, Mi. They said they were firing up the furnace this week so I should have them in 10-14 days! Pulling the axles, tank and starting the brake system conversion this week... Whaa-hoo!

Hey Bill. Ordered them with an extra 1".
They said they could end up being 1" in the front and 1.5" in the rear when there installed (6 and 7 leaf combination).. We'll see.
Dan

Found them on eBay (Go figure, Right?) Anyway, you can us 2-sided sticky pad strips or what I will be doing is removing the windows. Trimming them to the glass size and reinstalling them with the glass so the seal covers the louvre's edge all the way around. But going to wait for a while. Still working on getting a set of Pop-outs from Rip. So will wait until I get the word from him.

Re: What are you up to?
Im glad they could help you out ,, I bet Jim at State Spring is kinda wondering why hes gettin 2 orders in one year for them ,,LOL. I like the louvers to , but also have been liking the looks of some of the tinting the guys have been doing. definatley try to salvage the shackles and bolts. The shackle bushings use a 9/16" center, I got bolts that size and made them but its just so much easier to resuse the stock stuff if ya can.

Thanks.
Jim's not wondering, I told him you sent me his way...
There is a guy out in Cali who will cut a complete set of glass for a 1st Gen G10 in 70% green, 52% light smoked or 52% light bronze. It's Auto Glass Classics. Don't know much about them.
I pulled all the shackle bolts last year at one time or another and they all cleaned up pretty good so shouldn't be an issue.
