Today,amoust house chores and a local car show (weather permitting)
I will be removing 5 broken exhaust manifold bolts on the 200 ci I have.I got this motor from a friend who I guess was in a hurry to get it out.Anyway it ran great,at least it is on a stand and not in van. Hope to install it next week if I get the time.

Went to Baker's today. Big turn out. For those of you who don't know about Baker's and are from this area. Baker's goes on all summer and us vanners are just part of the summer events. About 600 cars ,trucks, 1 van there today. Also had a Corvair rampside also.

I spent a couple hours today working on the tunnel, test fitting all the crap I have stuffed in it, Think I may even have room for a drink holder or 2 
. Strung out some gas line, measured for a shift cable, I think 10ft will get it

I sold my blue Sportvan!! Yesterday a guy named Ben saw it when I had it parked down by the bay. Later he brought the wife and kids to see it at my house and they ended up driving it home!
But I don't look at it as losing a van, but gaining another San Diego vanner!! I told him about our site, and to stay in touch, and we'll help him with any issues that may arise.
Now I can finally focus on fixing up just one van!! Feels good! This summer I'll get it running and on the road!!

the headliner is pretty neat. makes me wonder what was supposed to go in the rusty abyss above the front seats. i also hit my grille with chemicals and finished it off with a good sanding. the result this afternoon? half a krylon facelift! now i just need another day off, or longer evenings... the sales sheet is actually a sticker above the passenger wheel well. i'm also on the lookout for some blue shag carpeting!
