We bought one of these http://www.kooleraire.com/index.htm last year before heading to Petit Jean. Allz I can say is they don't work well in high humidity, which is what we always have here!!!
Could have bought more beer with that money!

All that carpeting looked like a PITA to remove. What were they thinking with the patch on the dash? Glad it's in good shape, Ray.

King williams district is a nice area. My favorite place to drink a brewski or two is there. The "Friendly Spot"

Just placed my order for DDDiscbrakes master cylinder kit and basic kit. Spoke to Dennis, a nice guy. Should get here in a couple of weeks. Sending me a list so that I can buy the rotars, calipers etc. here locally. Woo Hoo!
hoping I can keep this under $900 total on the conversion from drum to disc, we shall see what deals I can get.

The van got its 1st bath today. I had to use a power washer to get most of the dirt off. Its been at least a decade while since its had its last bath. Much better if I say so myself

Re: Bought a 1964 Econoline today!
My oil light has been coming on the last couple of drives I went on.
Went to the simplest thing 1st and switched out the oil sending unit today. Took it for a drive and its not coming on anymore :)Im wanting to install a fuel pressure gauge here soon just so that I have a more reliable reading. Think im going to put it on the dog house.
While under the van yesterday I noticed I had a gas leak, upon further inspection I found the fuel hose had a crack. Replaced that today to.

Re: Bought a 1964 Econoline today!
Did this last week guys, decided to go with a mechanical oil pressure gauge for a more accurate reading and I wanted to keep my idiot lights for originality and to keep with a warning light.
I was able to do this with various brass fitting to run the oil tube and still have a Oil pressure switch

Re: Bought a 1964 Econoline today!
My oil pressure hovers at right around 40psi and I have no leaks at the brass fittings. Happy Camper
I do plan on getting rid of the ash try and fabricating some new metal and have the oil pressure gauge there later down the road.

Re: Bought a 1964 Econoline today!
my next project removal of gas tank for cleaning, new fuel filter and carb work. Van died on me this weekend by the house luckily. Enough gas not getting to the motor...
Already called some places, most around my area run around $200 for vat/Cleaning and sealing.

Re: Bought a 1964 Econoline today!
that por-15 fuel tank restoration kit works well if you want to DIY. are you still using the solid metal fuel line? that might have gunk in it clogging up the fuel delivery.
