Thanks Mike. Im pretty excited about getting it here. Prolly be another 2 weeks or so before I get it. Once I get it I ll post some pics and share more details. For now though it's a 351 Windsor stroked to a 408 with a built c4 with stall converter and a lot more goodies.

Im having horrible luck with transport of my new truck. Its looking like it wont even be here before Bakers. Today I was told one to 4 weeks"maybe". I ve been on a nationwide board for truckers to bid on for 2 weeks and no takers so far. Original quotes were between $1100 and $1900 from 30 different brokers. Ive upped my offer to $1800 so far and no takers yet. Companies are now telling me it may take up to $2000 just to get it scheduled for pickup. I had it listed with a "quote your price" for transport the past 3 days and got no offer. Unbelievable!! I was told today I could have it in 10 days tops for only $5200. Well we know thats not happening. Latest quote was $2200 if seller drops it off at a truck terminal where it will sit up to 10 days waiting on transport to a terminal in Cincinnati in roughly a month. No way in hell that truck is gonna sit in a terminal for weeks getting played with. It would cost me $1500 alone to drive out there and get it myself but I cant get time off work anyway so Im playing the wait game for a broker with half an ounce of sense. Im not paying over 2 grand to move this truck. It can sit there til I get a reasonable offer to transport it or until my next vacation in a few months. FYI,these prices are for enclosed transport. I prefer to not have this on a 2500 mile trip getting rock chips and bugs all over it.

    Tim,

Where is it located? For those prices it must be in the middle of nowhere..

Actually its 2200 miles but still thats a long haul. It sits in a building only 3 miles off I-80 in Reno Nevada. I cant believe all the hassle Im having with this deal.

Toad the 8 door sold almost instantly so I dont even have that to take to Baker's. None of my other projects are far enough along to take so I may be Econo-less again this year for Bakers and the Nats.

Tim give this guy a call, he has moved cars for me for 5 years. He is a one man show hauling one car at a time and sleeps in the trailer so he never leaves the car. If he is in the area he might can help.

I hired a new company this morning, small operation called Webster Transportation out of Missouri. Within 2 hours I got a call saying it will be picked up this Saturday and delivered in time for Bakers on Wednesday. No bullshittin around, just a real straight shootin guy who owns the company along with his son. Price is $1900 so Im happy, provided it makes it here in time for Baker's.

The Falcon needs brakes and a few other things before a road trip. No spare time right now as Im dealing with the wifes grandmas place as she is in very poor health(she's 92) and just had a stroke. Thats the house in front of mine. I ll have a ton of work to do soon as her time at this point looks limited. I plan on fixing it up as a rental but keeping the out buildings for my own use.

It's here!! Got it about 2 hours ago. Its in my mother in laws garage now. Weather not being real cooperative right now. It rained a few times. No time for pics before Baker's. After Baker's it will come to my house. I wasnt quite ready for it but I ll have a spot for it in the detached garage all by itself by tonight. Havent had much time lately for garage cleaning with all thats going on.
