He's quite a bit further along now , I need to get some more updated pics. He's working out a snafu on the steering box and looking for a radiator to work with.

Yeah , that is nice ,, I was noticing the rims ,,are they directional at all 4 corners? Im not sure but I was thinking its usually the passenger side that has the rotation right? It still looks great !

Thats a fine 59! I see a few late 50s Dodge pickups around. The problem in New England is RUST! Trucks back then were used as trucks. They never carried soccer moms groceries. The only time they were in a garage is when they were getting fixed. Thats why theres not many left. That L6 engine looks nice. Theres some aftermarket performance goodies available for it!

I agree Ben.Even back then, carpet in a truck was unheard of until CST/Cheyenne & XLT's.Just like our A,G,&E's,they were work vehicles for every thing imaginable that was intended to keep dry & haul people. You have to look hard or order a truck with a rubber mat now days.
Sorry, sidetracked.Yeah Joe,post some more pics when ya can.

As I mentioned , he is quite abit further along than the previous pics show.

He just got the radiator today, After 3 failed attempts at finding a good used one , he had to have the original recored. This thing was a true basket-case when he got it, Had to figure out what went where and not sure about some things yet, the steering box is on the bench at this time , discovered some bad bearings in it.
    O/T My bros 59 PU Dash_210
The seat I believe is actually out of a 54 he has had, He had it reupholstered.
    O/T My bros 59 PU New_se10
The original door panels (steel) were in real bad condition, he had our local steel supplier plas cut some duplicates.
    O/T My bros 59 PU Door_p10
My bro has been picking away on the door and window seals. He has used parts from restoration Specialties, the local NAPA and a shop that supplies cloth material for stuff like quilts and curtains, ( he used the fuzzy part of Velcro to re-do his window fuzzies and some of the window/vent channel), I dont have the patience for that sort of thing, tongue It needs a bath and some matching wheels but it's looking good

I think so,, My brother mentioned something about trying to catch a Lassie episode the other day. This truck started its life as a Fish and Wildlife? truck in New Mexico I think.
