The 1st Gens are 16 gallon,,,,,,,the 2nds, 24 gallons,,,,,,so the crossmember where the straps hook up to are in different places,,,,,(some 1967's had the 1st Gen tank),,,,,,,

thanks was thinking on useing the tank from my 1970 reason is it was diped and ready to go. O well just have to dip the 66 tank.tried to cut a cornor

Well,,,,,,,,,people have moved that crossmember forward a little so the bigger 2nd Gen tank would mount in there,,,,,,,you don't get too far on 16 gallons,,,,,,,,

thats a funny thing my dad had a 1965 and went to woyoming from michigan deer hunting in 1970. wow i bet gas stations were scarces in those days.
