I have read articles about newer oil lacking zinc which is OK for newer engines with roller rockers. But the lack of zinc is hard on older engines. What "type" and "weight" of oil are you guys putting in your older engines that don't have roller rockers? I'm getting close to breaking in a rebuilt 307 and I would like to see it last. Thanks for any advice!

If you're concerned about zinc, Shell Rotella has zinc in it.
I personally use Advance Auto Parts brand oil, 10W40. Never had a problem.
