I ve thumbed through lots of pix regarding what s the right hub cap for a 62 Falcon window van.  It would appear the plane jane dog dish is correct but they all seem to be 9.25" diameter.  I have 14" wheels on mine that look to need roughly 10.25" caps.  The spare is a 13" and the smaller 9.25" would probably fit.

I just took off some old bias ply tires so I m guessing the 14" are stock.

Right now I m running naked and need to cover up.

Your van would have come with 13 inch wheels originally. It was common for owners to put 14's on them.

These are what would have been on your van. They were stamped steel and painted silver.

You could also get these in polished stainless or chromed steel. They came both ways. These were usually reserved for Club Wagons.

These were the standard 14" cap. They came in both white and silver paint.

These were offered in polished stainless. You could get these in 13" size as well. Be careful when you buy them that you get the correct size. They look the same in the pictures. I like these. They look great with a trim ring. They are known as 1964 Flipper style caps.

This doesn't mean much to your van but these were the factory caps on 65 Spring Specials. These were the only full size caps offered on Econolines. They were Falcon car hubcaps.

I've included these because the are found on some Econolines. I don't believe they were ever offered on them but a dealer could have installed them. They are 61-66 Ford F-100 caps.

There was another cap offered on 67 Econolines. I couldn't find a picture of one on the net. They are kinda ugly. I can get a picture if you would like to see one. I have several.

My favorite is some kind of mag wheel. Econolines look so much better with just about any custom wheel. Preferably something vintage. Slots, Cragers, Keystones, Even Ford factory wheels like Mustang GT wheels, Magnum 500's. They really set one off.

Exhaustive research Duane.  Nicely done.  While I m sympathetic to all you fancy Dans  Very Happy and your mags, those white with the red lettering in the middle pix are what my ugly duckling the Red Falcon needs.  With the 64 flipper style next. Now am I correct they should be approximately 10.25 to 10.50?

I took some more pictures this morning.

This is the silver painted cap.

This one in the 67 style cap. I'm not a big fan of these. Kinda ugly.

I'd say about 10 and 7/16ths give or take.

My vintage Rocket Wheels slots on my 67 pickup.

A little careful shopping and you can come up some vintage wheels cheap. I got my set of slots on my 67 for $100. A lot of elbow grease will make them shinny again. The lug nuts were almost half what I paid for the wheels. There are deals out there. Cape swap meet is coming up in a couple of months. Might find some there. Just save your lunch money and keep an eye out and you will find a set cheap.
