I have a neighbor that asked me to look for an early 70's Dodge short wheel base van. What is the correct model? Dodge b100? What denotes short from long w/base?

Well the earliest 70 model was still an A100(last year for them) followed in 71 by the newer B series vans,B100,200,and 300. I ve got a 72 I ve been saying Im gonna sell for a few years now, just never commited to it yet. I had it at the Nats in Michigan and Virginia several years back. It had new paint then but its showing some small issues now. Came from California,no rust thru ever. 6 cyl/stick

Re: whats model?
No model name change for the different wheelbase. B100, B200 and B300 were just like the trucks; they indicate Gross Vehicle Weight Ratings (GVWR).
Often called half ton, three-quarter ton and 1 ton.
There were 2 different ways they were longer, just behind the front doors like the A-100s and an extended rear cap, like the Early Econolines. Some had both.

I've got a '73, '85, '86 and '89. 3 were bought cheap for parts/storage. When you can buy a full size van for 300 or less, they are cheaper than a shed, can move, and come with an engine/trans and even wheels you can swap onto an A (if it's a B100)!
