Ok so I have the stock torq converter from the 6 I had.... Will it work with the V8 I am installing or do I have to look for a "V-8" converter>?

Does it fit the trans?
I am aware of at least 2 different bolt patterns for the converter to flexplate.
You can see them on the aftermarket flexplates.
If your V8 is externally blaanced, you will need to address that too. It will need a stock flexplate and a converter with a weight (not the /6 one) OR an offset weight flexplate and a neutral converter.
Also note that the bolt holes are offset on the crank and the flexplate. Make sure to mark them so they align. they are not flat, they curve forward toward the back of the motor.

Kent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Call NAPA -They can tell u -if they show a different part # well-DUH!! You also could call one of the junk yards near us- seems ="SPALDING" comes to mind= they can tell u very quickly as there all computerized on the interchange stuff! Might even have one if needed-cheapo
