Of course you're right Tim. I just went out and looked and no wonder I missed it the first time around - that thing is TINY! I'm sure I don't have an allen wrench that small. Mine are all pitted though so I'll have to tackle it someday. Thanks.

The Dodges are held in with a roll pin. Does yours have a hole on both sides?

Rod,it may very well be a roll pin. I ve never really looked that close and never needed to change one yet. I usually figure that stuff out when it comes time for me to fix it,LOL. I just assumed from a glance it was an allen set screw.

The one I changed has a very small roll pin. It was a bugger to get out too!

Just curious Duane, was that with a lock button or the early version without it?

Re: vent window latch removal
It was the early one without the lock. I was kinda wondering if they may be different. I've always heard they didn't interchange but never checked.

Duane,I ve also heard that which explains why the part number is different for the piece that it goes on,which attaches to the frame.

Re: vent window latch removal
it is indeed a roll pin. .1" roll pin to be exact. had to drill it out. I actually am in the process of installing some vent windows (i just received from Tim). I ordered some of the non push button latches from macs a while ago in preparation for this project. Tim was able to get me some vent windows including the latch so they ultimately were not needed. But they were definitely not interchangeable with the push button type window. The stud on the window is a different shape and length and the roll pin is in a different location.
P.S. one non push button vent window latch for sale. Not sure if it is left or right. (the other one got butchered in the process of trying to make it work for a newer van).
