I should be in Chicago around May 8 for a couple of weeks. Most of those Corvair pictures are from sicksty3's from the Corvair Forum. He sure is busy with those corvairs,,,,,,,I lifted this one up out of the mud and we unloaded it into his garage.

There is also a nice Bass spot between where you are staying and my neighborhood, right on Caton farm to the west of CVS, nice small mouth there, so if your into fishing bring a pole or two.

Take me with, I can stay in Sarasota, I dont even have to stay with ya. lol. Thanks for the kind words.

I got lucky getting it. Im busy putting parts into it like crazy, but it will be nicer for it. I could just drive it, but then it would just fall apart. What fun is that. Just parted out a van in Findlay Ohio last weekend. So Ive got a bunch of stuff for it. Two things in particular that I realy wanted,,and realy didnt need, but I will post pics of that once they are on. Right now I need to re-inspect the rt trans yoke, and do a seal on the lt one. Also grease my rear bearings also. Still learning about these vans.

Donivan65, we need to go out to Ace auto salvage when you come out. Ever heard of it? I have a portable gen, and a sawzall if need be. Quite a few early Ford vans, a few Chevys, even 3 Corvair FC's. I may try to make it there this weekend.

You can only get REAL Chicago hot dogs in Chicago,,,,,,I need to stock up a years worth while I am there. As for the Pick a Parts, I go to the one on Archer in Summit and out around 127th and Ashland. I also went to the ones around Archer and Kingery. Its hard to find anything good out there that is older than 1980,,,,,,,,

Then we need to make plans for Ace auto. Its a hour drive but worth every bit. Check out these pics in the link to CCE. http://corvaircenter.com/phorum/read.php?1,286419,page=1

Your looking in the wrong direction. I gotta get out there and pull a bunch o parts off a Brier out there. I'll drive. I know them pretty well.

I will be leaving this weekend. Ace is out there in the middle of the farmlands by Starved Rock. There is nothing out there so those vehicles can sit and rot forever,,,,,,,unless someone happens to buy something. Out here, at the Pick a Parts, they just keep them 3 weeks and its off to the crusher,,,,,,,
