Re: BILLS66 VAN
Bill,
Most excellent thread on the Disk Brake Conversion!
Did you add a row of washers or something inside the top shock mount, where the loop should be, to prevent crushing it?

Re: BILLS66 VAN
Bills66 did you get your final bill back yet?
If so can you post those part numbers. I'm currently trying to get an out of country inspection done. The brakes didn't pass and I'd rather do the disc brake conversion than pay a bunch of money on the Drums just to do it later.
Great info so far too Thanks for all that have posted regarding this.

Vanadian,I just saw on a vcvc post that cpp is having a huge sale.I bet you can call Mario at cpp and get my parts list and#s all the parts were ordered back in feb this year by my friends at Hillyers Tire and Wheel in salem,Or. They do a bunch of custom work and everything they used works great. Bill

Re: BILLS66 VAN
Bills66, so I called Mario he gave me a good price of $449 for the front disc brake kit + $149 for the master cylinder & Proportioning kit. He needed to know what rear end i have in my van to quote me on the back. This I don't Know. I told my mechanic and he said he deeal with CPP already so he'll call them.
Mario said that the guy (I assume you) has a Camero rear end so he was able to get the set up no problem. Is that you?
Anyway, I'll post what I know and any info that will help others as I get it. Thanks for lead!

Re: BILLS66 VAN
Vanadian,I just did the front discs my rear is the stock setup with 3.36 gears. For an order it up in one package I am very pleased with the results everything they sent worked correctly. Main mods are cutting out the rear of the bracket that is around the master cyl, relocate the front shocks( actually pretty basic),and if you have a sway bar not to horribly difficult to lower or move back a little. bill

Re: BILLS66 VAN
Hi Bill, neato looking van and great job on all the upgrades. Especially interested in your parts list, specifically the MC. Am using M1 Dadios list yet have struck out on MCs that work. Actually, if you could list the MC and the proportioning gizmos part number(s) I would be most appreciative--read the whole post so please forgive me if I missed the list.

Re: BILLS66 VAN
took a crusty but still entact original made a template ,use a thin encapsulted insulation from home depot cut it and the carpet to match .I used 3m spray adhesive to glue them together(2 person job) .when you spray both sides and put them together you only get 1 shot because it sticks permanent. Re: BILLS66 VAN
This might seem like a silly question Bill, but what did you use to plug that hole in the boot where the shifter went through ? I've been hoping to stumble on something in the shop that would magically fit , but it aint happened yet.

Re: BILLS66 VAN
Bill / Chris,
After I posted I went out and checked the "Monster parts van" since I haven't cut it up yet and it still has one so I'm good.
Thanks,
Dan
