My little 144 will only run with the choke out. Is this jets or floats problem? Thanx for any answers. Question

Sounds like a vacuum leak. Check the hoses and carb gasket. Are you going to make it to Petit Jean this year? It's almost here. Duane.

How long has it been like this? If there doesn't appear to be a vacuum leak(s) you likely need to rebuild the carb. Does it have an Autolite or a Holley carb? Mine was doing that and it turned out to be an improperly assembled carb and it was varnished up. It was missing a check ball and a weight on another check ball. The idle circuits are very tiny and can get gummed up if the carb has been sitting a long time.
