    So I'm getting ready to try this HEI setup out. Has anybody else tried this. It takes the ballast resistor out of the picture. Makes for a clean install. Almost seems to cheap to be true.

    yes i just installed same in my 65 comet / 289 . works good yet i got mine from skip whites place on ebay a little cheaper= ill also add they make a kit to replace the module in these also!! good 4 a spare!! Just always remember to disconnect the battery when charging & be sure to turn the key off !! when batterys low or dead too! cheers

    Great tips, I'll need to order up a spare module kit or two. Glad to get some feedback.

    Yeah I did the GM HEI module install. It was in hot rod/carcraft about a year ago. Just uses a stsndard GM 4 pin module. Works great. No more ballast resistor. So you get more Ignition voltage.
