The brake light switch is on or near, the master cylinder,,,,,,see if one of the wires on it has power,,,,,,touch or hook those wires together,,,,that will send a signal up to the turn signal switch and the switch will then send power out the green wire to the right rear brake light bulb and out the yellow wire to the left rear brake light bulb......see if you get that far,,,,,,someone could of hooked up some trailer  wires or tried to fix a problem,,,,,,you just got to go step by step,,,,,the brake lights start at the brake light switch,,,,,then the red wire goes into the turn signal switch and it sends power out  the green and yellow wires to the rear bulbs,,,,,,left and right turn/brake wires are separate,,,,tails and license plate wire are 1 wire,,,,,,the wires have to come all the way from the turn signal switch to the rear lights,,,,so there could be a problem there,,,,,but just hook those 2 brake light wires together after you make sure you got power in one of them,,,,,see if the brake lights come on,,,if they do,  clean and tighten the wires on the switch and step on the pedal,,,if they don't come on, you need a new switch.....

Good work on the lights DB.

ME? I have a dead sending unit. Everything else tested good, and no continuity at the sender.

Does that sending unit have a ground wire going to the frame?
