i've checked my manuals to see what holds in the front outside door key lock, and it doesnt show anything, my outside key lock is loose, i took the door inspection panel off and dont see any kind of slid clip fastener, so what is supose to hold it tight to the door,

I've attached a picture of one of the front side doors.
The lock is shown in the lot right of the photo and you can see that there is a track actually welded to the door from the factory that a clip slides in. Normally the clip does not get removed it just slides up to release the lock cylinder or down to lock the lock cylinder in place. The tab of the clip is very narrow and does not project very much. I just used a screw driver to pop mine up (open) to pop the cylinder out. I'm sure that maybe the clip could be removed after removing the cylinder or it may have fell out at some time if the locks have been changed in the past. Hope that that helps. Scott...

John the front door lock is help in with a spring steel c clip that pushes in between the door skin and the lock. most likley yours is laying at the bottom of the door..

thanks guys i'll check into it today i'm thinking the sliding clip must have come out one side becouse the key lock is just loose on one side, about 1/8'' i just didnt see any clips thats used on the back or side doors, thanks again, john

THANKS AGAIN GUYS FOR ALL THE HELP AND PICTURES, I JUST CHECKED AND THE CLIP WAS ONLY HALF WAY IN, THE WAY THEY HAVE THE CLIP GOING YOU CANT SEE IT TILL ITS IN THERE TIGHT OR WHEN ITS OUT, I JUST PRIED IT IN WITH A LONG SCREW DRIVER AND SLID IT RITE IN THAT FIXED IT,,
