Hello to all! My name is Jay and I just purchased a 63 Falcon Econ from a previous member of V-V (username JonathanPaul)...I live in Jax Bch, FL, and I know there's a member in Amelia (Danthevanman). Anyway, just wanted to say Hi and I look forward to learning and sharing! Oh, and does anyone have a lead on a fuel tank or one from another vehicle that would fit my 63 with minimal mod? Thanks

    Welcome to the site WhiteDove.
I think most of us are going with the Fred Carillo Mustang tank conversion.
I bought my tank of off eBay. Here are a few links:

To VanishingBreed, Just checked eBay and only saw tanks that fit '75 and newer...what did you type in search field that brought up one that would fit my '63? Maybe someone already snatched it up...

I was looking under Econoline parts and saw it yesterday. I had a 20 gallon tank made out of aluminum for my 66 that only cost $200.00 to have built so that is another avenue you can consider. Tim(Econopartsusa) is in Kentucky and probably has several tanks so you might want to contact him.

I've been considering the custom alum fab but just assumed it would be pricey...$200 is def not bad though...thanks for the heads up on the Econopartsusa though. I appreciate how helpful everyone is here. I've got a long road ahead...

Just want to say thanks again to everyone for all the warm welcomes...while I'm posting though, has anyone ever put captains chairs (like the ones from RVs or conversion vans) in a Falcon Econ? Is it possible to fit a couple big chairs like that in there with the doghouse right there in between? The seats in mine are on their last leg and I came across somebody that's selling a sweet pair of vintage captains chairs with a matching sofa bed for cheap and thinking about trying to make them work but didn't know if it would be more trouble than it's worth...any insight?

Those chairs are too big for the front of any of our early's. I have to say I would love to have a bigger seat in the front, but the doghouse limits the size

You would just have to measure..If I remember one side is an inch or two wider than the other...Would be nice if they would fit...

I don't really see the size of the seats being a problem as long as they wouldn't restrict the doghouse lid from being able to lift open...my concern is how to mount them. Anybody have any experience making custom brackets to install seats that come from other vehicles? What are the best points for connection to the floor, hubs, doghouse, etc?
