    Neither, way to many mods. You can swap a 200 inline six that will bolt right in and you can build it to have more HP and torque than a stock 302. Check out Clifford performance.com or http://www.classicinlines.com/Home.asp. You will get the power you want and still get 26 mph.

    Fuel injected aluminum head 250 cross flow Ford engine. Aussies took our 7 main bearing 250 and made it run. Removable intake on one side, factory cast iron header on the opposite side where it belongs. This one was in a 66 shorty van. A REAL runner, and great gas mileage. I have one, and the rare bell housing hooked up to our 66 C4. Had planned on also, trying to put my Gear Vendors overdrive on the back of that,,, making it a 6spd automatic, fuel injected 6 cylinder. Hearing rumors of over 500 hsp out of this little runner,, AWFUL PRETTY motor.

    First hard part where all the parts, all there. Next had been looking into "MEGASQUIRT" setup. More and more ECM info and setups out there everyday,, including Edelbrock. Its almost impossible to make points and carbs be as effecient as a computor, however a lot less involved to get there. I figure, I just need to learn more about it....

    ok.....i've got a 200, what really is the best way to rebuild it. Dont want the fastest onthe block, just want to get up the 7% grade down the street. Got a 64 with a 170,3 spd, and 9" that the 200 is going to replace.

    Get a Clifford Performance cam, headers, rocker arm assembly, and a Mallory Unilite distributor and either a Weber 38 or an Autolite 2 barrel carb from Pony Carbs.

    mike is dead on ive seen a 200 that was hawged out with big ole sluge in it a nice cam and a 4 bbl on it haul the mail. the guy said the ket was in head porting and match porting the intake. this was in a model a and about three cars out it really started hauling ass and sounded real cool.
