Just needs one more silver tooth on the passenger's side! They look like chrome bumpers from a VW...

Yeah they are now you mention it. Wonder what happened to the others?
And what kind of paint job is that? Trying to make it like an old uhaul?

Re: I seen a VAN,,,(,part 1) Old posts
Why does the rocker panel on the passenger's side flare out just before the rear wheelwell? Are they all made like that or is that something someone modified? If you look at the driver's side pic, it looks like the rocker goes straight across to the rear wheelwell...OR maybe it's just my eyeballs playing tricks on me again

No it wasn't your eyesight Vanny, I went back for another look today and the van must have been hit on that side. Bondo everywhere and thick. Looked inside and there's crappy welds and rust. Front floor has rust as well and they welding the skin of a Chevrolet tailgate down, which actually is a cool idea, but it's a nightmare bodywork-wise. I called up just for fun and the guy said he wanted 3K. Good Luck with that!

Most 50+ year old project vans are gonna have some mods made to them by now....I like the pickup truck tailgate sheet metal for the floor repair!

Re: I seen a VAN,,,(,part 1) Old posts
My Wife Spotted this yesterday on the way to the movies and knew I would have to see a picture of it to prove she actually saw what she said she saw...nice Econo in the next town over from us at Cruiser's Malt Shoppe. Wish I could have been there to talk with the owner.
Almost looks like the one that was for sale in Connecticut last year...Anyone recognize it???

Re: I seen a VAN,,,(,part 1) Old posts
Tempe Arizona - OMG! Ok I try to be open minded when it comes to "Customizing" vehicles, but in my opinion this is a waste of my favorite type of Chevy Van. I snapped these while trying to safely past through a stop light, got the best I could. Notice it has a Fore Sale Sign in the front window! Hurry before it's gone!!!
I think the woman on the corner sign read "Why!? Why did you do that to that poor Van!?"
