I spotted this nice 68 GMC at local resturant Monday evening. The young couple had purchased it in December, did some minnor work on it and drove it from Washington State to FL. Some where in Fl. they had to change the engine (305 V8). They were a little reluctant to talk much with us about their trip or themselves. I got the impression they were musicians and working their way around the country like the old days. Told him to look us up on Vintage-vans when they could and feel free too join the groupe.

Well, technically I met a vanner, but I forgot to ask to take a picture of him in front of the van. Alan was enjoying another crappy day in San Diego with his wife, kids, and vintage Econoline. He is a member on the forum and drops in from time to time.

You know, people always say that about El Cajon Blvd, but I've never noticed it. Maybe I'm just too naive. When I get my van done I'll cruise over there and take a closer look.

The scooter shop that I work at used t be right at 30th & El Cajon. They like to cruise the alleys and parking lots during the day, then once it gets dark, they hit the main drag!
I've also heard of El Cajon Blvd. referred to as "The Blade"....so once you get your van done, we'll all go "Cruise the Blade" in our vans!
