We have a 1971 Dodge Surfside camper van (B300) chassis with a 318 automatic 85K miles, notes in shop manual says the engine had a complete engine rebuild @ 76,660 miles July 1996 by Joe Garone’s Off Highway Garage for $2500.
This is the only one I’ve every seen, can’t even find one online, it has a double wall insulated fiberglass shell, dropped floor at the stove and sink area
Updates we’ve done since we purchased in 2010:
Brakes: rebuilt vacuum booster, new master cylinder, wheel cylinders, rubber brake lines, hardware kits (springs, adjusters & cables) new brake drums and shoes
Suspension: new heavy duty front coil springs, new rear leaf springs and bushings, u-joints, wheel bearings & seals front and rear, Michelin LTX M/S LT225/75R16 tires
Steering: new power steering pump, new lines and rebuilt steering box
Engine: new brass radiator, water pump and rebuilt carburetor, plugs wires belts, electric fuel pump
Camper: new Motion windows (4 sliders & 1 rear fixed), new seat / bed cushions, later model high back front seats, 17.5 gallon gray water tank, LED overhead lights, new windshield and rubber seal, added 2 Husky tool cabinets for storage
Loose parts: 16 gallon fresh water tank (currently has 10 gallon or so tank) new 2 burner stove top, 2 tubs of tune up parts, van parts & RV upgrades
