1967 Dodge A-100 Camper Van aka Family Wagon
Currently registered, current tags, operational, with a Salvage title (California), in my name.
Good for you so that it can be parked on the street legally if need be. No hassle at your DMV. Salvage title was from years ago, no damage to frame.
318 V8- Paperwork left by the previous shows that the engine was rebuilt about 10 years ago. There are no specs on the bore, cam, crank, etc. The block number is 4104230-318-15. This means it's a 1981-1983 block. It could be one of those rare X blocks or Race blocks. Receipts from Napa show new intake/exhaust valves, complete gasket set, plugs, hoses, etc.
I have 2 short videos of the engine running. Search 1967 A100 camper 318 engine running on YouTube.
New parts: New 21 gallon fuel tank and sending unit from Vans Auto, new fuel pump, rubber fuel hose and some sections of fuel line. New battery.
It's currently hooked up to an auxiliary fuel tank within the cabin and I have driven it couple of miles. No smoke, no backfire, no hesitation on acceleration. DO NOT expect to drive this home any long distance as the braking system will need to be gone thru.
727 3 speed automatic- I've only driven the van up and down the street and it goes into all gears. It does stop properly, but the brakes should be bled as it has been sitting for years.
Rust- the pictures say it best. Rust all along the rain channel, A pillar, door frames. Suprisingly the floor pans and rear passenger area are solid. Frame is solid.
Tires- Used but like new Firestone Firehawk Indy 500. 235/70 15 in the rear, 236/60 15 in the front.
Interior/Exterior- All of the camper options area still in place. The padded doghouse cover with pop out bench is a nice option. The water tank is still mounted underneath. The fiberglass top is still in good shape, no cracks. only the back corner of the canvas separated from the top. Repairable? Possibly. Even with the recent rains, there was very minimal leaks inside. The passenger side windshield has a crack
I didn't want to see this go to the scrap yard due to the rust. I feel that this would be a great donor canidate for rust free van. Parting it out was an option but I felt that this could still be a driver if someone wanted it as is.
Shipping- contact me ASAP if you are planning on shipping this. It will drive onto a trailer. Buyer is responsible for contacting the transporter and scheduling pickup/delivery.
Payment- $500 deposit via PayPal is required at close of auction. Remaining payment can be made via PayPal and or cashiers check or in person.
