    Dash shifter Empty Dash shifter

    Post by 32dooscoop Mon Feb 18, 2019 10:02 pm

    Hi
Does anyone know if it is possible to retro fit a dash shifter in a 65 A100?
My van was originally a 3 speed manual but i am swapping to auto.
I would like to fit a dash shifter if possible, if not i intend to go with a floor mounted lokar shifter.
    Thanks

I don’t see why not, I have everything you need, shifter, cables and trans, however I’m in California.

easily done with the parts mentioned, EXCEPT there is a bracket welded to the dash that will make a much better install. doner vehicle should have it and all you need to do is drill out about 6 spot welds. just so ya know...

Outofsite, I have the box already, just need a shifter. I hopefully have a link on one, just waiting on details.
I just wanted to see if it could be one before i stepped up and bought one.
    thanks for your comments.

Good luck with the swap, it shouldn’t be too difficult at all.

If my lead on a shifter is a dead end would you be interest in selling me the one you have?
how much would you need for the shifter and cable?
if you didn't want to ship to the UK I have a friend in New Jersey who can ship stuff over to me, also i have another friend who comes over to Ca once a year on parts hunting missions who could probably collect for me, but he wont be over till Sept.
