Tomorrow I am driving to a pick-a-part that's a few hours from my home, but they have some 60's vans wasting away out there.

I've got my list, and I plan to grab some of the stuff people are typically looking to fine. I won't be cutting out any doghouses or anything like that..

I will check back on here before I leave in case you want me to keep an eye out for anything.

I called today and confirmed they have GMC and Chevy vans, but I guess my tools might work on Dodge and Ford too.

Unless they are one of those weird places that don't want you taking pictures I will pop some to post.

Scott, I bet I know where you went!  French Lake Auto Parts

I made a pilgrimage there a few years ago. Unlike most salvage yards these days, those guys never send their cars to the crusher! They've got cars there dating back to the 30s. I saw four or five 59/60 El Caminos lined up! They had several early vans when I was there. How many did you find?

Well no, but now I am going to have to check them out..

Wife went, she loves doing stuff like picking parts, we had a great time.

I didn't get everything I wanted, and really wasnt sure what all to grab. I didnt want to buy a $100 worth of stuff people might be wanting.

I will get my pictures uploaded here shortly, along with my grabs.

I ended up at Rohners Auto Parts in Wilmar, MN.   They have 80 acres of stuff, and I dont think they crush either. The 60s Dodge and Chevy vans were on the same row. I ran out of time and didn't get to check out the Ford row.

I did see a 1st and 2nd Gen with Belly Pans, I think on my next trip I will get those as people are always looking for them. Just kind of a pain since I have get them out there to roll the vans so I can get to them. All there stuff is on the ground, so I can't get to the bolts, or slide them out. And, I'm not bringing a shovel.

    Anyway, more to post later..

Here's a couple of pictures, I will get better ones next time..

We got there and jumped on a list I made of what I was looking to get, and before I knew it three and a half hours had gone by and I was still wanting to pull parts.

So I'm heading back on Nov 3rd. Send me your list if you need something, I will try.

I know a couple of them have V8s, and one 1st Gen has its L6 in it still. There was a 1st Gen with a V8, and a custom widened Doghouse. Found a 1st Gen radiator too.

Since its a little more than 2hrs away from my home I am traveling out the night before so I can it it early next time.

I ran out of time and energy, but there is a 1st and 2nd Gen. Belly Pan with wings out there. Maybe more, but I know there is at least one of each..
