Need to replace kingpins on my 66 Econoline- where do i get the correct kit? I remember earlier post that say that most places are selling the wrong size parts

My mechanic bought them at the auto parts store in town when he done mine . I’d check your local parts store .

I ordered them thru Napa no problem, how ever i could not get the old ones out. I removed axle from Van and took sledge hammer to it would not budge. Took it to 3 area shops before I found one to do it. And they saying never again doing those axles

I think there is a yr. difference in the king pin sets.
Have heard that the groove in the pin for the lock is milled incorrect for one of them.
Most machine shops are not set up to press them out. Remember this is 60's technology
Mid/heavy duty trucks are the only vehicles to use a solid axle today. Try going to truck repair shop, they still have the skills and equipment to do the job.
