This is a 360 based block with factory frame and engine backets as well as oem style motor mounts. Using a Weiand Action + intake yields approximately: 5-5/8" at the front (lowest cover brace to intake carb base) and approximately 6" at the rear. So depending on carb choice, Removing the lower brace yields an additional 1/2", and removal of both nets 1" additional clearance. The Weiand is one of the taller 4 barrel intakes, but sourcing a drop base air cleaner and removal of one or both braces may provide the  clearance needed.  Here's what it looks like with a Demon Street Demon mounted. I have approximately 3-1/2" carb  air cleaner base to cover clearance. I plan on using a Spectre brand 14x3 air cleaner (with additional weld on stub to convert to dual snorkel) that only requires 2.4" of clearanceReference: Example Pictures Of Doghouse Cover And Carb Clearance Img_2032
